No, you must never let your cat eat macadamia nuts. These nuts are toxic for pets. Even a small amount could make your cat really sick. It’s likely for cats to develop symptoms related to the digestive system or nervous system, including vomiting and tremors.
The mechanism of macadamia nut toxicity is not yet fully understood but if your cat accidentally ate a macadamia nut then we would strongly suggest to take him to the vet right away. In certain cases, it may help to induce vomiting via hydrogen peroxide if it has been less than an hour since your cat ate the macadamia nuts. Please call and check with the vet first before you attempt this though.
