Don’t Wait for Cat Conjunctivitis to Go Away by Itself

Conjunctivitis is an eye disorder that many cats will experience at least once during their lifetime. In a lot of cases, conjunctivitis will self-resolve with no medication but we would still recommend seeing a vet for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Conjunctivitis is a condition that can lead to mild eye discomfort and pain. Without medication, it may take up to a few weeks to properly heal. During this time, there is a risk of the cat causing further damage to his eyes. One common sign is for cats to constantly paw at their affected eyes.

For cats with conjunctivitis, vets may offer treatment in the form of antibiotic eye drops or medications that can help treat the underlying problems. It’s best to not take any risks by not waiting on the cat conjunctivitis to disappear on its own.
