Can Dogs Eat Bran Flakes? When it is or isn’t an Emergency

Bran flakes could be beneficial for dogs because they are a rich source of fiber. For dogs, fiber serves a number of important roles such as increasing bulk and absorbing excess water. This could be particularly useful for dogs suffering from digestive issues like constipation or diarrhea.

It would be okay for dogs to eat bran flakes in moderation as long as the flakes are free of additives and added sugar. It may be much easier for your dog to eat the bran flakes if they are softened first in warm water. If this will be the first time your dog will be eating bran flakes then please be sure to only feed them a small amount at first.
