Can Dogs Eat Chia Seeds? When it is or isn’t an Emergency

In the human world, chia seeds are classified as a “superfood” given the immense health benefits they may provide. Well, your dog could reap some of the same benefits as long as they are given an appropriate amount of chia seeds.

A small amount of chia seeds could be good for dogs because they offer a massive amount of nutrients with very little calories. Chia seeds are packed with nutrients like calcium, magnesium, and manganese. There are a number of ways you can let your dog eat them.

The simplest method is to sprinkle a small amount of chia seeds on top of your dog’s regular meal. You could also get more creative and make some homemade dog cookies by blending the chia seeds with some flour, water, and a tiny bit of olive oil.
