Duck feet is safe for most dogs to eat as long as it has been prepared correctly. Dehydrated duck feet are a healthy source of glucosamine and chondroitin, both of which are important for giving your dog’s joints extra protection.

Like other natural chew treats, duck feet can also help your dog maintain healthy teeth and gums due to its crunchy texture. Duck feet may look disgusting to us but most dogs won’t give a slight hesitation to enjoying and chewing it.

We would advise only giving your dog duck feet under supervision for the first few times. This is to make sure your dog is chewing the duck feet properly before gulping it down. Dogs that don’t give it a proper chew may end up with choking or blockage issues, especially if they are small-sized dogs.

We would be extra careful about giving duck feet to young puppies. You might want to cut the duck feet into smaller pieces so that it’s easier for the puppies to chew and digest. Just make sure you are giving your dog duck feet that’s specifically prepared for dogs.
