Can Dogs Eat String Beans? When it is or isn’t an Emergency
The occasional string bean is okay for dogs to eat. String beans are known for having an abundance of nutrients like vitamin C. They also contain a decent amount of dietary fiber, which helps with maintaining good bowel movements.
Dogs can eat both raw and cooked string beans although we would recommend the latter. Cooked string beans will be easier for dogs to digest. When you cook the string beans, makes sure you don’t add any additives or seasonings. The beans should be served plain. It would also be a good idea to chop the string beans into smaller pieces.
You can let your dog eat the string beans as a treat or add it to the dog’s regular wet food. Don’t feed your dog too many string beans as they can make your dog gassy and prone to canine bloat.
