French Bulldogs Can Eat Blueberries in Moderation
It’s safe for French bulldogs to eat blueberries as long as it’s given as an occasional treat. No matter how healthy they are, treats like blueberries should not compose of more than 10% of a French bulldog’s daily dietary intake.
Blueberries are good for French bulldogs because they are rich in antioxidants, dietary fiber, and vitamins. They also have relatively low calories so you don’t have to worry as much about your dog suffering from weight gain issues.
When you prepare the blueberries for your French bulldog, make sure all the stems have been properly discarded. Blueberries tend to also be high up in the pesticide residue list so it wouldn’t hurt to soak the blueberries in baking soda solution for about twenty minutes before you let your dog eat them.
