How to Delete Your Data

We provide two primary methods for deleting your account and all associated personal and pet data from My Pet Child. Please note that data deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

The fastest and most secure way to delete your data is directly through the mobile application:

  1. Open the My Pet Child app.
  2. Navigate to the Settings screen (fourth tab).
  3. Scroll down to the Account Management section.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm the action in the pop-up dialog.

Note: To protect your data, security rules may require you to re-authenticate (log back in) if your last login session was created a while ago before deletion can proceed.

Method 2: Request via Email

If you have already uninstalled the application or cannot access your account, you can request manual database deletion by emailing our support team:

Email: john@mypetchild.com

Subject Line: Data Deletion Request - My Pet Child

Please make sure to send this request from the email address associated with your My Pet Child account. Manual deletion requests are verified and processed within 7 business days.

What Data is Deleted?

When your account is deleted, our server-side functions run recursive scripts to permanently remove all records associated with your User ID, including:

  • Authentication Profiles: Your login credentials, email address, and associated system metadata.
  • Pet Profiles: Names, birthdays, microchip IDs, and allergy records.
  • Care & Health Logs: Medication histories, scheduled routine timings, completed dose metrics, weight entries, and chronic illness check-ins.
  • Documents & Photos: Uploaded profile images, health note attachments, and stored PDF veterinary records.
  • Household Connections: Your Family Sync association code is severed, removing your access to any shared devices.

Third-Party Data & Subscriptions

Please be aware of how third-party payment platforms process account cancellations:

  • RevenueCat: Transaction receipt history for PRO tier upgrades is securely maintained in an anonymized state for accounting and tax auditing purposes.
  • Active Subscriptions: Deleting your app account does not automatically cancel recurring paid subscription plans. To stop future billings, you must manually cancel the subscription through the platform where you purchased it:
    • Android: Manage plans via the Google Play Store Subscriptions menu.
    • iOS: Manage plans via your Apple ID Subscriptions panel.
