Terms of Use
Last Updated: June 2, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the My Pet Child mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you are not authorized to use the application and must uninstall it immediately.
2. Medical Disclaimer
My Pet Child is a tool for organization and logging purposes only. The application and any materials generated by it (including exported PDF medical reports) do not constitute, nor are they a substitute for, professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek direct consultation from a licensed veterinarian regarding any questions you have about your pet's health, medications, symptoms, or behavior.
You acknowledge that reliance on medication reminders, alarms, and any other tracking functions within the app is solely at your own risk. My Pet Child is not liable for missed doses, incorrect user input, system delays, or any adverse health outcomes that arise during the use of our services.
3. User Accounts & Security
Access to medication logging and cloud backup features requires a registered account. You are responsible for keeping your authorization credentials (provided securely via Firebase Authentication, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In) confidential. You agree to notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access to your account or personal household dashboard.
4. Plans, Subscriptions & Payments
We offer two levels of service with strict operational limits:
- Basic (Free) Plan: Entitles you to set up exactly one (1) pet profile and manage one (1) active care routine.
- PRO Tier Subscription: Unlocks premium features, enabling you to manage up to four (4) pet profiles, schedule unlimited care routines, upload vet documents, and generate PDF medical reports.
Payments are managed and processed securely through the Google Play Store (and/or affiliated marketplace providers) and tracked via RevenueCat. Subscriptions automatically renew under the original purchase terms unless canceled in your marketplace account settings at least 24 hours before the billing cycle ends.
5. Family Sync & Data Sharing
The "Family Sync" feature allows primary household hosts to share a Family Code with other caregivers, partners, or sitters. By generating and sharing this code, you authorize those users to modify your pet's medication records, log weights, write health notes, and view uploaded media.
Note on Deletion Privileges: Guest accounts or linked family members cannot permanently delete pet profiles from the database. Complete administrative deletion rights are restricted to the primary owner of the household profile.
6. User Content & Upload Limits
You retain all intellectual property rights to the text logs, medical documents, and photos you upload. By uploading content, you grant My Pet Child a limited, non-exclusive license to host, display, and transfer this data specifically to provide medication sync features to you and your authorized caregivers.
All file uploads are subject to system limitations. Uploaded PDF documents must not exceed 5MB in size, and image uploads are restricted to a maximum of 10MB per file to maintain stability on our hosting services.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, My Pet Child and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use the application, including but not limited to mobile alert failures, database disruptions, file losses, or pet health issues.
