Welcome to My Pet Child. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data of our users and their pets. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use our Android application.

2. Data We Collect

To provide accurate medication tracking, health logging, and household sync features, we collect the following information:

  • Account Information: Email address and profile display names provided voluntarily via Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or Firebase Email Authentication.
  • Pet Profiles: Names, pet type (dog/cat/other), birth dates, allergies, and microchip IDs.
  • Health & Care Logs: Medication routines, dosage frequencies, weight logs, scheduled appointments, and chronic symptom notes.
  • Documents & Attachments: Pet profile photos, symptom images, and uploaded medical PDF documents (up to 5MB) stored in our secure cloud storage.
  • Device Identifiers & Push Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens required to run our instant Family Synchronization feature.
  • Subscription Data: Handled securely via RevenueCat to verify PRO subscription entitlement statuses. No raw payment credentials are processed or stored by us.

3. How Your Data is Used

Your data is used solely to provide the app's core care features:

  • To sync your pet's data in real time across multiple household devices.
  • To trigger precise local medication reminders and alarms.
  • To generate and export professional PDF medical reports for your veterinarian.
  • To enable instant synchronization between household co-owners using a secure Family Code.

4. Third-Party Services

We use stable, industry-standard third-party providers to secure database traffic and manage app transactions:

Google Firebase

Powers secure account authorization, hosted document storage (Storage), and cloud database infrastructure (Firestore).

RevenueCat

Coordinates subscription status checking and secure Play Store transaction validation.

Firebase Analytics

Collects anonymous usage trends (e.g., timing of feature usage, PDF generation counts) to help optimize app performance.

Firebase Crashlytics

Tracks anonymized software crash stack traces to help developers quickly address system bugs and runtime issues.

5. Data Deletion & Retention

You maintain complete ownership of your personal and pet health information:

  • Manual Document Deletion: You may delete specific symptom entries, medical notes, or uploaded PDF vet records at any time directly within the app interface. This instantly removes the target file from our live database and Cloud Storage.
  • Full Account Deletion: You can choose to trigger the "Delete Account" feature inside the app's Settings screen. Doing so runs an administrative Cloud Function that permanently deletes your authentication profile, household associations, pet profiles, and all associated files (JPEG/PDF records) from our active servers.
